The tears are finally starting to subside, I can get through a few hours without thinking about how our lives will change on Tuesday, but tonight Scott and I were moved to tears reading all of the comments from friends, family and most touching from those who have no idea who we are and those who we have never met. You have no idea how precious it is to read your words of encouragement and to know that each and every one of you is praying for us. THANK YOU!!! God is keeping us strong and opening our hearts to remember that He is in control of this situation. We are focusing on the fact that the trach is the best option for Eden and she will get through this. Reagan also is improving and she too will get through this.
I'm not sure if we will forget these heartbreaking days in the NICU but when our little girls are running through the house with sticky fingers or jumping into the pool before we are ready with open arms we will hopefully be able to forget.
Both girls got baths today, so we have cuddly, fresh smelling babies! Take a look at the pictures of both girls.... did I actually give birth to them- I'm not really sure because they both look like their Dad! They truly have the best Dad in the world- he would move the moon and the stars to make them better if he could.
Amanda,
ReplyDeleteI heard about your journey with your girls through a friend of a friend - and I want you to know that although our stories are different, we too have a sweet baby girl who spent many days in the NICU and ICC and she is now home and thriving with a tracheostomy. I would LOVE to connect with you to share our experience and give you some insight or answer any questions you may have about what life may be like. You are in the best place you can be when you are facing such difficult circumstances - TRUSTING THE MAKER of those beautiful girls. He is the ONLY one that can provide what you need right now. Please, if you have the time or energy and would like to connect, I would be honored to talk with you. You can email me at escarlsonfam@gmail.com. God bless you in ways only He can --- Shelly Carlson
p.s. the link to our blog isn't active .. we never ended up activating that or using it. we have a caring bridge instead - you can feel free to take a look to see our journey - just look under kenleycarlson.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you and sending you love and strength for tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteMany, many prayers are being sent your way tomorrow for Eden's procedure - she will do great! You are so very strong and you will all get through this and your girls will thrive.
ReplyDeleteBecky (RedWingsFan from the Bump Multiples board)
Praying for you and for Eden's procedure tomorrow. Please let us know how we can help.
ReplyDeleteYou are in our thoughts and prayers all the time. Remember God doesn't give us more than we can handle. You will learn from this and become stronger and better people because of this. It is just so hard to see those precious babies not well. My heart breaks for you. Love, Brenda (p.s. this is our valley troll account so it is not from ann)
ReplyDeleteI love being able to keep up with your situation through this blog. I know at times it might be tough to put it all out there but keep it up. It really helps me know how to pray for you at each stage of this process! Stay strong you two, God has his hands on you through all of this.
